"Only those who perceive attentively can grasp the whole picture and sense the person before them."
This principle has guided my work since the early 2000s. My path began in Germany, where I practised Interactive Medicine — a clinical field founded by my mother, Lady Susan. Interactive Medicine is not integrative medicine. It treats the human being as a living, responsive system: one that answers to precise impulses, rather than being passively managed. In this environment, we combined deep medical knowledge with naturopathy and psychology — always listening to the whole person before drawing any conclusion.
Today, at Castle Anam Cara in Castlerock - where my clinical background meets my Irish roots – I apply this medical depth to create a truly restorative experience.
Your body knows how to move freely and release tension — chronic stress simply obscures that knowledge. My work does not force change from the outside. It follows a core principle: before anything can be released, something must first be supported. I stabilise before I let go - working from your body's natural centre outward, so that every shift is held, not lost.
Movement, in this context, is never exercise. It is a reminder. A gentle prompt for your body's own intelligence to reawaken - to recall a freer, more natural way of moving that was always there.
You may arrive feeling heavy, movement restricted, carrying a tension you can no longer quite locate. Through precise touch, you begin to sense a shift - muscles soften, breath deepens, and something that felt locked quietly releases. Sometimes you will notice your body responding before you understand why. That is the process: not something done to you, but something remembered by you. The subtle presence of bespoke herbal oils completes the picture - grounding the session through scent as the body settles into stillness.
A Dialogue with the Nervous System
Techniques like Reflexology and Eastern Acupressure act as a clear catalyst for the nervous system.
Whether through touch, movement, or silence, each session is shaped by what I observe — not just what is said, but how the body speaks.
As specific manual impulses are provided, it is often a time to let words rest entirely.
And while you simply observe how the physical tension begins to fade, making space for a profound sense of ease, your system is gently invited to re-orient and realign itself - finding a new, healthier balance from within.
Located within the peaceful atmosphere of Castle Anam Cara and kindly supported by Lady Susan’s Challenges, the environment itself becomes part of the process. The sweeping views of the dunes and the Atlantic provide a natural backdrop for your recovery, allowing your system to settle completely while we work together to reactivate your inner resources.
